How we work
A gate that
can say no.
Evidence before the next investment. Each stage has its own decision, and the decision stays with you.
Four stages. Different decisions.
Keep the next step deliberate.
01Validate
Go / reshape / stop
Demand, pricing, positioning and scope. Go means moving forward with the idea; reshape means changing the approach; stop means ending this route before a build.
02Build
Launch-ready / not yet
Review the scoped product and release readiness. Unresolved work stays visible before the release decision.
03Launch
Continue / stabilise
Review what real use and acquisition activity tell us. Continue the motion, or stabilise what needs attention.
04Run
Ongoing
Operate, monitor and prioritise improvements. Agree review points as part of the run plan.

Illustrative format — criteria agreed for each sprint
This is a blank example of how a validation discussion can be structured. It contains no client results or assessed evidence.
| Question | Evidence to gather | Status |
|---|---|---|
| Is the problem worth solving? | Customer conversations and current alternatives | Not assessed |
| Is there willingness to pay? | Pricing conversations and expressions of intent | Not assessed |
| Can the first version be focused? | A prioritised scope and key assumptions | Not assessed |
| What should happen next? | A written recommendation and decision discussion | Not assessed |
No universal threshold is implied. Evidence needs and decision criteria are agreed before the sprint.
A useful stop
is still progress.
A narrower idea. A different first customer. Or a reason to leave it there.
Validation is about making a better decision, including deciding not to build. We don’t guarantee commercial results. We make assumptions, findings and open questions part of the conversation.
Grow is optional go-to-market support after launch, separate from the four-stage path.
